Nursery Inspiration

I am so excited to finally have a nursery to decorate.  Well, it's still under construction but it's almost here!  People keep asking me what our nursery theme is and it's really hard to answer them since I'm not really a "theme" kinda person.

Here are some nurseries that I've been drooling over for the last few months:

I love how the top two are both gray and were my strongest inspiration for our nursery color.  What I also love about these are how they are so subtle and soothing but have an eclectic collection of colors, patterns, and fabrics,  I hope to have this same vibe in our little girls room.

Right not we have a crib, changing table and a bookshelf for our nursery.  I'm trying to decide if I want them all painted white or if I should paint the changing table or bookshelf a fun color like this one:

What do you think?

I bought this AMAZING print series already and I'm super excited to have it on the wall.  Check it out here.  This was my favorite song as a little girl and I can't wait to sing it to my little one.  I found this adorable mobile on pinterest and I'm trying to decide if I will make one or not.  It matches that series perfectly.

Anyways- I'll leave you with my one last love..... CHEVRON.  I've already picked out an amazingly cute rug that I might buy and here is the adorable boppy cover that I WILL buy...

Oh gray chevron-- how I love you so :)

Let me know what you think of my ideas!  And I'll keep posting our progress...

22 weeks!

How far along? 22w6d
Baby is as big as a? PAPAYA (8in, 1.2lbs)
Maternity clothes?
I'm wearing maternity tank tops under my clothes now.  They are nice and long and I think look flattering on me with my belly.  And since I can't button the top of my jeans they help hide that too!
Best moment this week:
I woke Jesse up to tell him goodbye as I was leaving for work and he rolled over and said, "Don't forget to wear your seat belt and protect my baby."  He was obviously half asleep and doesn't remember saying this but it was really sweet.  And I still love every time he is able to feel the baby move!
Most "pregnant" moment this week: Seeing my belly morph into a weird shape the other night (see picture below)
Sleep: My hips are starting to bother me and I have to sleep with a pillow between my legs now to get comfortable
Movement: This little baby likes to move while I eat, when I'm in the car, when Ernie is on my lap, and when I lay on my back in bed.  I love that I'm learning about her already.
Food cravings:
  I just crave food.
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy
Other Symptoms:  Round ligament pains and my hips are popping when I walk.  The doctor says my hips are doing that because the ligaments are all loosening.  I start physical therapy next week and hopefully that will help!  She said I'm nowhere near the point of no-activity but I might start having to think of setting some limits.
Looking forward to: Our remodel!  I'm really sad to leave our two bedroom side of the duplex just because Jesse worked so hard on making this side so nice.  BUT I'm really looking forward to having a nursery and to FINALLY start working on preparing for my little girl to come!

So my first big growth spurt was Jesse's birthday
and now it was right after our gender reveal party.
I'm thinking we have a little drama queen on our hands
-either that or I ate too much cake on those days

Our tenants made us these sweet little mukluks.

Newest project on my list: Hairbows!
I think I'm crafty enough to make them myself but we'll see.
I did good and only bought a few materials for a trial phase.
Craft night anyone?!
I was laying in bed on a layover when this happened to my belly.
I started freaking out and took pictures of it so Jesse would
believe me.  These were taken only like 2 minutes apart.
Kiiiiiiiiiinda creepy!

Trying to imagine what our little girl will look like.
I'm thinking brown hair and brown eyes for sure...
What do you think?

Can't stop getting clothes!
Shopping for a little girl is too much fun.
I could spend hours on etsy.  I wish you could register on there!!!

Poor doggie is losing his lap space.
He doesn't seem to mind too much though.

Our nursery is painted!
Now we just need floors.
And vent covers, closet doors, outlet covers...

Handsome husband working so hard

20 weeks!

I decorated the chalkboard but never got around to taking my picture with it

How far along? 20w5d
Baby is as big as a? BANANA (7in, 11oz)
Maternity clothes?
Still holding out
Best moment this week:
Right now as I work on this post.  The baby has been doing flips in my belly AND I can actually feel him/her move with my hand.  I'm kinda freaking out about it at the moment actually because the baby also keeps pushing itself right up against my belly too.  So not only am I feeling him/her move I'm also feeling the exact little body parts too.  I never realize how amazing and overwhelming this would be!  I only wish Jesse wasn't working and could feel all of this too...
Most "pregnant" moment this week: Crying at the dentist office.  Hellllllooo hormones.
Sleep: Better.
Movement: Tons.  The last two days have been incredible!  I love feeling the baby more and more.
Food cravings:
Thankfully no pickles at 2am this week.  I honestly haven't had any crazy cravings.  Well, except I did drink two glasses of milk in a row and that's crazy for me because I hate drinking milk.
Gender prediction:
I keep calling the baby she around Jesse and he corrects me everytime :)

Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy except when I'm crying in embarrassing places
Looking forward to: MONDAY!  5 more days!!!

This week I finally transitioned from hiding my bump to showing off my bump

Halfway point picture

"There's a what in her belly?!"

This is fun until the baby sits on my bladder halfway through the ride...

The baby moves like crazy when Ernie is snuggled up to my belly

And another picture of Ernie and his new headrest

19 weeks!

How far along? 19w6d
Baby is as big as a? MANGO (6.5in, 10oz)
Maternity clothes?
still holding out
Best moment this week:
Feeling the baby this week.  It felt more like a bubble popping than a flutter.  The first time I felt it was amazing because it was a more defined feeling of the baby.  And now I feel the baby almost everyday... loves
Most "pregnant" moment this week: Getting out of bed at 2am to eat a piece of beef jerky and a pickle.  That was weird.  I got back in bed and Jesse was like, "ew WHAT is that smell?!" haha.
Sleep: hellooooo acid reflux!
Movement: love it!
Food cravings:
This week has been a new week of cravings: pickles, beef jerky and mc Donald's french fries
Gender prediction:
Still wanting a girl but still thinking it's a boy.

Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy.  Well except I did cry watching a silly tv reality show.  Oh, and telling someone the story of how Jesse proposed.  I'm getting a little sappy!
Looking forward to: Our gender reveal party :)

Gizmo's first present-- A handmade blanket from Grandma Barbie

Ernie hates riding in the back of the car now-
I wonder how it'll be when the baby is back there with him
